respond to Leaanna
That is so true Leaanna, about the poor and even being homeless just once would be quite an experience. I have never thought like that before, but I have wondered how the homeless even in the USA do it from day to day. I have seen people wanting rides, with a dog, and yet all they want is food and/or a ride somewhere. Especially in MN, it is amazing how people survive in the cold winters. God has blessed us with a roof over our heads, work, food, cars, heat, etc; and yet we see that we struggle to get by!!! We are always wanting more, spending money on thing that we do not need but we want!

I have also found poverty to be a blessing in disguise for many reasons. One reason being that if you are rich enough to provide for every need that you have you tend not to have to rely on God or others for it and they never learn the gift of giving or the gift of humility or the gift of having your needs meet in an unexpected way. My parents have always told my siblings and I that they hope for at least one year of each of our lives we experience not knowing how to pay for all that we need so that we learn that what he have is a blessing to us. I thing that that pretty sums up why having little can be such a blessing, it makes us grateful for what we do have and what we may receive out of the grace of God. however I also think that being poor as in homeless, or in poverty in the US is almost a bigger problem that being poor in other countries, now don't take this the wrong way, the reason that I say this is that the Us is so money driven and has such a high need to succeed and move up in the society that if you don't have money society as a whole doesn't associate with you. Also it is hard to get out of poverty it is a sad circle that continues for generations. I hope this makes since... I know what I am trying to say but it doesn't feel like it is coming out clear.
